Purchases, compatibility and feedback
For current iPhone and iPad requirements, check the App Store listing. To restore a purchase, use Restore Purchases in the app with the Apple Account used to buy it. For a billing or refund request, use Apple’s purchase support. For an app issue or a correction to these guides, contact TideTone.

Do I need a physical handpan?
No. You can explore sounds on the virtual handpan in TideTone. If you have a physical instrument, you can also use the app to write music and support your practice.
Which devices can I use?
TideTone is available for iPhone and iPad. Check the App Store for the latest device and system requirements.
Is TideTone free?
TideTone is free to download. Local notation and playback are available without Pro; some real sound packs unlock after login. AI composition and image recognition have trial allowances. Cloud sync, share-code creation, score packs and PDF export require Pro. See the app for current details.
Can I share the music I write?
Importing a shared score requires login. Creating a six-digit share code, creating score packs and exporting PDFs require Pro. Check the score and selected handpan scale before sharing.
How does AI composition work?
Choose notes, audition rhythms and select a style to create a multi-bar starting point. Continue listening and editing after generation. Free trial allowances and Pro access are shown in the app.
Can I import an existing score?
Import a PDF or recognize a clear photo of printed numbered notation. Image recognition does not support staff notation or handwriting. Check and correct recognized notes in the editor.
What does Pro include?
Pro provides cloud sync after login, share-code and score-pack creation, PDF export and 20 exclusive scores. It also expands AI composition and image-recognition access. Monthly, annual and lifetime options are available; see the app for current terms and pricing.
